What are the differences in the three services?
The main difference in our services is the scope of coverage. MDR for Endpoints protects endpoints with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, MXDR Advanced protects all services using Microsoft Defender XDR and Azure workloads and MXDR Premium provides full coverage across any service.

What are the technical and licensing pre-requisites?
Our services are built using Microsoft technologies, which is a benefit for many that are already licensed with Microsoft 365. For us, it is about balancing the most cost-effective options with the right level of features and functionality to deliver an effective service. As Microsoft licensing can be bundled in many ways, there are many options depending on if you have standalone licenses or bundles, contact us for our licensing overview.

Can you protect non-Microsoft sources?
Yes, our MXDR Premium service can ingest data sources outside of Microsoft using pre-built or custom-built connectors. This gives complete visibility across any data source.

Are any elements of the service subcontracted to other providers?
No, all services are delivered in-house via our Cyber Security Operations Centre.

What is the difference between MDR and MXDR?
The difference between MDR and MXDR is scope and coverage. MDR covers threat detection, response and management across endpoints while MXDR extends coverage by integrating with other data sources, such as networks, infrastructure (on-premise and cloud) and applications – as well as the ability to ingest events from any API or source for complete coverage.
