Who are METCLOUD and what do you do?

METCLOUD are a cyber security, private cloud and hybrid cloud solution provider. We’ve been in the industry for around 25 years. We have executed major projects such as a mailbox migration in Birmingham, the London Railway Modernization Project and the Cube to name a few.

In 2017 we pivoted our organisation to focusing on cyber security and cloud technologies. We help our customers by protecting their people, their data and their organisations. In our existing security portfolio, we were already providing customers with SIEM and SOC solutions. However, with the landscape evolving and Microsoft occupying 50% of the productivity market, there was a shift in our customers to move to more Microsoft centric technologies and as such, Microsoft Sentinel integrating with Defender just appeared and seemed like a much stronger and better solution for those customers.

Why did you choose to partner with Chorus Cyber?

With security becoming more imperative day by day, we proactively searched for a partner that could assist us with this, where we found Chorus. We’re guiding a lot of our customers through the Microsoft journey and tying in Chorus MXDR service and bringing in Microsoft Sentinel is the perfect next step.

The MXDR service fits in very well with our existing service portfolio. With both organisations working together, we’re able to provide a proactive and preventative service.

The benefit of the Chorus and METCLOUD partnership is that we’re still able to have a personal relationship with our customers. When incorporating Chorus into the Customers IT strategy, we’re able to offer it as a natural extension to METCLOUD’s offering.

Building a SOC team requires significant investment. Working with Chorus, we’ve been able to avoid making that major investment while still being able to deliver such an exceptional service. The partnership has definitely strengthened our market position and we’re now able to offer a wider and broader range of services, making sure all customer needs can be met.

How does the partnership work?

One of METCLOUD’s strengths is being able to identify a customer need, so they’re great at looping us in at the relevant stage and we can support from that point.

Security can be quite a complicated industry to navigate, so we want to support METCLOUD in breaking down the challenges of adopting a security practice internally and supporting them in offering that as a next step to their customers in their security journey.

What are the benefits to METCLOUD’s customers?

A definite benefit to METCLOUD’s customers is by leveraging the Chorus service they’re getting access to industry-leading Mean Times to Acknowledge (MTTA) and Mean Times to Close (MTTC). These response times mean a massive reduction to any operational and financial impact that could be felt off the back of attacks or threat actors being in your network.

Why did TD SYNNEX partner with Chorus to provide these services to their partners?

TD SYNNEX partner with Chorus to provide best-of-breed offering around their security services for our partners. Most partners can’t actually build these services themselves. It’s time prohibitive and it’s very costly to do so. Partnering with Chorus gives them the opportunity to provide these services to their customers. Also, most companies use Microsoft 365 in their everyday lives, so it makes sense to utilise the security features already there and to capitalise on them.
